5 out of 5 stars Great Buy!   December 27, 2009

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. I was concerned at first about its small size and its durability. He loved the size, and, two days later, the chopper has lasted through several falls without a hitch. He has trouble moving it forward while it's in the air, but I suspect that's a question of practice. It's not super-easy to maneuver, but that's part of the fun. It's challenging. The company website is great, and has a good tutorial video for every one of its products. I plan to get him a new model every Christmas.

5 out of 5 stars Fun, Fun, Fun!!!!!   June 24, 2010

These things are a blast! Takes a little while to get used to but after a few minutes you should be up and running. The main this is to figure out the trim (balance) by pushing a button left/right, once you figure that out it is the same every time and only takes a few seconds during take-off to achieve stability. They are loads of fun and I love to terrorize the Mrs. a bit with it and the kiddies as well, whizzing around their heads and what not. I wouldn't recommend this for young kids (under 7 or so) because they are kind of delicate and can be broken with too many crash's and rough handling. My 3 year old was playing with mine and managed to bend something so that it would rocket off to the left and slam into the wall upon take off. I plan on buying another and will be more cautious were I leave it next time :) Great adult toy, buy it, trust me-your gonna love it!

My husband loves this. It's pretty breakable though but you can buy parts for it.

4 out of 5 stars Havoc Stinger   March 27, 2010

Bought this as a present for my husband as he has a lot of Air Hogs helicopters and loves them. Worked as expected, just as reliable and durable as any other Air Hogs toy. I can't give any specifics on difficulty of the controls since I've never used it but he seemed to fly it easy. I do remember some of the newer features he liked were the weight piece added on. He often had things taped to his old ones for a little added weight for stability.

2 out of 5 stars Fun But Flimsy   January 15, 2010
Doggymcnuggets (Bedford, IN USA)
My son and I received two Air Hog Heli Havoc helicopters for Christmas and they are a blast - while they last! One of them broke after a few days when the on/off button broke off during power down. We promptly exchanged it for one of the Air Hog Stinger helicopter models which then broke upon the very first use when one of the blades broke off. I did yet another exchange and the new one is working for the moment. The lady at WalMart said that they get lots of returns on these units and I'm not surprised. They are great fun when they work offering a low price, simple control scheme, and indoor use. Unfortunately they really are flimsy and don't seem to withstand normal use - if you buy one keep your receipt!
