With front and rear suspension, oval block tires, and a skid plate, this flashy red car is tough enough for all kinds of indoor surfaces. Kids can test the car's performance on carpets, uneven floors, or homemade obstacle courses. The controller/charger features steering control while driving in forward or reverse, a "turbo" button for acceleration, and a trim adjuster that optimizes steering. Recharge Car's Battery in 50 Seconds
Before taking the Micro for a spin, an adult should help install the controller/charger's three "AAA" batteries (not included). An included instruction manual guides you through the process of aligning the Micro to the top of the controller to recharge the car's internal battery. A green light indicates the battery is charging, and in approximately 50 seconds, the car is ready for up to 10 minutes of driving time. Conquer Any Indoor Surface
Except for very thick shag carpeting, the Micro can drive anywhere in your home. To ensure straight driving, adjust a trim switch located on the car's hood. Need a little extra power to overcome an obstacle and win the race? Hit the "turbo" button on the controller/charger and send the Micro into overdrive. Each of the different Terrain Titans is wired to a different frequency, allowing up to four different Micro models to race simultaneously. Test your off-road driving skills on a tough, obstacle-strewn floor, against family and friends. The Micro may accumulate dust or lose its front wheels in a driving accident. I bought 5 of these at Target before Christmas as an almost afterthought stocking stuffer. Our 3 kids and my wife and I love them. We haven't tried driving them over stuff because A) they're really small, and B) they're a ton of fun just driving around the living room on the hardwood floors. They charge up in about a minute and drive for 5+ minutes at a time. We had all 4 going at the same time playing car tag, racing, etc. I'm actually on here shopping for more as replacements for when ours break. They're really durable and you can take everything important off of them in seconds for cleaning.
Couple of notes: first, batteries go into the charger differently than you usually see--the positive and negatives all point the same direction, where most other toys alternate. Easy to figure out but now what we were used to.
Putting them on the charger takes a few minutes to figure out. Some of ours have an arrow on the car and on the charger that you line up, some don't. Once you figure it out, it's very easy. When the car is connected, just hit the charge button and wait for the green light to turn off.
The charge button is also the turbo button when driving--they're much more fun in turbo speed.
If you charge them and they won't go, it's because the car automatically turns off after a few minutes of no use. Cycle the on/off switch on the car and it should work fine.
If the car is acting weird, slow, or won't go it's probably because you have a hair in the rear wheels/gears. Snap the rear axle off, take the big gear (white plastic) off of the post that connects to the motor and clean it (takes less than 30 seconds). Put it all back together and it will probably work great. I'll bet most problems people have with these comes from hair or carpet fibers wrapped around the gears.

I want to begin this review by saying that I was skeptical to buy them based on the wide variety of reviews.
I am pleased to say that Santa brought them very early this morning and they have been played with by everyone in the house for the last 10 hours. What a blast! No, they are not meant for a three year old. The youngest owner in my house is 10 and the oldest is ohhhhhhhh..grandpa! Amazing little fun pocket stocking stuffer at a great price! $7.99 was indeed a deal and we are racing them around the kitchen. Okay, it was a little bit of a problem when I saw it zooming toward me across the table during Christmas dinner! :-) Fun and durable when taken care of. No, I don't see it climbing over things, but we haven't really gone that route yet. Right now, we are still just racing them and having a good time! For the price, it's worth the price if they last through the evening.
Before you buy anything, keep in mind the "child" you are buying them for and if they can handle it. This is not meant for a young child and no, it probably won't hold up to what a three year old can do to it. If it has lasted with my 10 year old and all the smiles, it is worthy of my five stars!!!

Picked up two of these, the red one shown and a blue one at toyrus for 12 bucks each. They charged just fine and you just press the button and let go to charge, not hold it as one reviewer said. They are fun little cars. One reviewer said charge didnt last long, they actually work ALOT lonnger then i expected. Big hit at home. Plane on getting more and building a little race track for them. For the money, i call it cheap fun for the whole family.

I have owned many R/C cars in my life and this one is by far the most bang for the buck.
With the turbo button held down it goes at a very fast scale speed. It steers perfectly and drives nearly straight. I don't see any way that you could break this driving it normally on flat ground (don't launch it down a flight of wood stairs or off the kitchen table for example.)
I had one in my jacket pocket and sat on it in the car and only one of the front wheels popped off and was easily popped back on.
Of the three I bought only one had a problem with it hesitating and glitching before it starts to drive. The charges seem to last at least ten minutes of full throttle for a shorter charge time.
You will likely need to only use these inside as the control is infrared which does not do well with sunlight present.
Keep them away from people's walking feet as they would not sustain being stepped on.
I tried inserting a folded up piece of paper inside the controller to force the turbo button to always be on but this prevented the car from being charged but it's not hard to drive with button pressed in.
They will drive on shaggy carpet but work best on hard floors or short carpet.
These are quite awesome and extremely fun to drive for this 40 year old and his young kids.

I bought two of those mini RCs(blue and red ones), for 4 and 5 year old boys. They have a great fun playing with those RC `mise'. Please note that those cars do NOT really brake! They built nice, so if something happens, for example, with a wheel you can easily put it back and continue playing(I recommend to look at the manual). We have been playing with the cars for five days and still do. Nice cars, especially if you like RC toys.
